Your costs in Original Medicare

You pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount for most doctor services while you’re an outpatient after the Part B deductible is met.
For hospital outpatient services, you pay a for each individual outpatient hospital service.
Generally, Part B doesn’t cover the prescription and over-the-counter drugs you get in an outpatient setting (like an emergency department), sometimes called “self-administered drugs.”
